Judith Miller to join Fox News as contributor (WTF?)
Former New York Times journalist Judith Miller is joining the staff of Fox News Channel, News Corp. announced Monday.
Ms. Miller will serve as a contributor, giving commentary and analysis on national security issues, counterterrorism, and international affairs. Her work will be published on the 24-hour news channel and online at foxnews.com.
Prior to joining Fox News, Ms. Miller spent 28 years at the New York Times. She left the publication in November 2005 after spending 85 days in jail on contempt of court charges for refusing to reveal a confidential source in a C.I.A. leak case. In September 2007, she joined the conservative think-tank Manhattan Institute for Policy Research as adjunct fellow. She will maintain that position and continue working as a contributing editor for the group’s publication, City Journal.
Ms. Miller’s hire is the latest in a series of high-profile appointments at Fox News this election year. Veteran Hillary Clinton campaign aide Howard Wolfson, former Bush White House adviser Karl Rove and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee have all signed on as contributors to the channel.
